"We are one big family"
This phrase is often used to describe a good working atmosphere and is not always believable. But there is one hotel chain, where everybody is one big family: The van der Valk hotels and restaurants.
From the very first every business is managed by a family member. Therefore it is not a big surprise that the personal and familial atmosphere was kept even though the Van der Valk hotel chain grew enormously. If you see our heraldic animal, the toucan in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, the Caribbean or Florida, you will know that you found the ideal place to relax, rest, hold a meeting and many other activities. And the cost/performance ratio is traditionally low priced.
In 1939 the first hotel in Germany was opened in Moers. Today on the German market the Van der Valk group is present with 7 hotels, 2 glorious castle hotels a fantastic holiday park and the longest ski hall worldwide. All hotels are located near bigger cities, close to autobahn and offer an exceptionally good cost/performance ratio, true to the principles of the grandparents: Good service at a fair price. Of course the parking lots are except from charges nearly everywhere.
